This fall, students will read The Hobbit over five weeks. During our weekly live classes, we’ll discuss the story, follow Bilbo’s journey, and look more closely at the characters, setting, conflicts, themes, and Tolkien’s choices as a writer. Students will also complete writing assignments and creative activities connected to the reading. The course is structured while still giving students space to share their ideas, ask questions, and enjoy the story together.
